Who built the first log cabin? The Finns, in 1638, introduced log building to American. FINNISH LOG CONSTRUCTION-THE ART, explains how the Finns brought with them their unique techniques of log construction, first to the New Sweden Colony in the 1600's and then throughout America when they immigrated in the 1900's.
